We the People want to see our elected officials win fair and square.
Democracy only works when elections are free, candidates have a level playing field, and the people hold the power.
Free and fair elections have been foundational to the United States for 250 years. I’ll work to strengthen trust in our electoral system, limit outside influence, expand voter voice and choice, and ensure every eligible voter can participate without unnecessary barriers.
Priorities:
End Citizens United to tilt political influence back to the people and away from billionaires, corporations, special interest groups, and dark money
Break up the two-party duopoly to promote greater competition, higher quality candidates, and better accountability to the will of constituents
Advocate for independent redistricting after the 2030 census to end partisan gerrymandering (aka cheating) in South Carolina and nationwide
Restrict foreign influence by safeguarding against cyber attacks, inauthentic accounts and websites, AI-generated content, and disinformation campaigns
Remove barriers for political Independents to run for office and vote in both primary and general elections
Utilize technology to encourage voter turnout via simplified and secure mail-in and absentee ballot processes
Support term limits to limit career politicians, corruption, and gridlock
